Donald Trump Rally Shooting LIVE: Former US President Donald Trump was attacked while addressing an election rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Trump was fired upon in an election rally ahead of the US Presidential Election 2024, in which he narrowly escaped. After the attack, the attackers created a security cordon and took the former US President off the stage. This attack was the first attempt to assassinate a president or presidential candidate after the assassination of Ronald Reagan in 1981.
The person who attacked Trump has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. The FBI has not yet been able to find out the motive behind the attack. After the firing, blood was coming out from the upper part of Donald Trump’s ear. It is not yet clear whether Trump was shot or he was injured due to security agencies pulling him to the ground.
According to US voter registration records, the shooter who attacked Donald Trump was registered as a Republican. The FBI identified the attacker as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, a resident of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. He was carrying a rifle. Secret Service personnel shot him dead.
According to CBS News’ report, a man named Ben Macker said that he saw the young man going from one roof to another. Macker said that the attacker was on the roof of a building. He told an officer that the attacker was about 200 to 250 yards away from the place where Trump was addressing his supporters.
According to CNN’s report, after this incident, Trump’s election campaign managers Susie Wills and Chris LaCivita said that additional security measures would be taken. Both the managers told the employees in a letter that they were horrified by the attack. The managers said that they hope that this horrific act will unite our team and in fact the entire country and we should reiterate our commitment to the security and peace of our country.
