If you think that the people of a country with educated and modern people in the world would not have strange opinions on many matters, then this news is for you. Even in a country like the UK, many people have expressed strange opinions on some matters. A survey has revealed some surprising things. The strangest among these are their beliefs about aliens which are generally believed. According to this, one in 10 people think that aliens have a secret UK base which our government is hiding.

Believers even go so far as to allow aliens to go out in disguise to shop and even visit liquor stores. People in Belfast have emerged as the biggest alien conspiracy theorists, with 21 per cent of them believing that someone is lurking. Generation Z (people aged 18 to 26) are the biggest believers, with 15 per cent of them believing that someone exists.

Another 10 per cent of millennials, aged 27 to 42, said the same. Another 7 per cent of baby boomers, aged 59 and above, said they also believed a secret alien colony existed in the UK.

Bingo site MrQ asked 2,000 UK adults which conspiracy theories they believed in to reveal the results. Senior marketing executive Rosie Maskell said: “Deep into the world of conspiracy theories is certainly an eye-opening experience, as a huge number of people believe in a secret alien colony.

“The only thing we can say for sure is that the truth is out there. After Belfast, people in Liverpool are the second biggest believers in a secret UK colony, with 14 per cent of those believing it to be true. Londoners and Leeds share a similar belief with 9 per cent. Overall, 12 per cent of those asked said they think the Apollo moon landings were faked by the US and another 13 per cent believe British authorities had a hand in Princess Diana’s death.
