IND vs SL: Change in the schedule of India-Sri Lanka series, matches will now be played from this day instead of 26

New Delhi. There has been a change in the schedule of the upcoming limited overs series to be played between India and Sri Lanka. The BCCI gave this information on Saturday. Team India’s tour of Sri Lanka was earlier scheduled to start from July 26, but now it will be a day later. The Indian team will tour Sri Lanka later this month for three T20 Internationals and as many ODIs. According to the earlier schedule of the program, the first T20 International match was to be played on July 26, but now it will be on July 27.

After this, two T20 matches will be played on July 28 and July 30. All the matches will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The first ODI which was to start on August 1 will now be played on August 2. After this, the remaining ODIs will be held on August 4 and August 7. All the ODIs will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Pandya can captain the T20 team
The BCCI has not yet announced the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour. But it is being said that experienced players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be given a break from the ODI series. It is likely that Hardik Pandya will captain the T20 team, while KL Rahul may be appointed the ODI captain.

Gambhir will go to Sri Lanka as head coach with Team India
Gautam Gambhir will accompany the Indian team on the Sri Lanka tour as the head coach. Rahul Dravid’s tenure was till the T20 World Cup 2024. Under Dravid’s guidance, India recently won the T20 World Cup title.
