New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also announced his retirement from T20 International cricket. After Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Jadeja is the third Indian to say goodbye to this format after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. Left-handed batsman Jadeja gave this information on social media. The current T20 World Cup has not been good for 36-year-old Jadeja. For the last decade, Jadeja has been an important player in all three formats of the Indian team. He is considered one of the best all-rounders in T20 International cricket.
Ravindra Jadeja came to play the seventh T20 World Cup 2024 of his career. But during this time he could not leave a mark. In this World Cup, he got a chance to bat in 7 matches but he could not capitalize on it. He played an innings of 17 runs against England while returned unbeaten after scoring 9 runs against Australia. He did not bat against Bangladesh while he scored 7 runs against Afghanistan. He could not even open his account against Pakistan while he did not bat against Ireland and America.
Ravindra Jadeja wrote on his Instagram page for the T20 trophy, ‘With all my heart I am saying goodbye to T20 International cricket. Like a determined horse galloping proudly, I have always given my best for my country. I will continue to do so in other formats as well. Becoming a world champion in T20 was like a dream come true. Ravindra Jadeja’s T20 International career
Ravindra Jadeja played 74 T20 International matches. During this, he scored 515 runs in which 46 runs was his best score. Along with batting, Jadeja has taken 54 wickets with his left arm spin bowling. Jadeja started his T20 career in 2007. Then the Indian team won the T20 World Cup.
