Delhi government minister Atishi was heard in a defamation case filed by state BJP media chief Praveen Shankar Kapoor. The Rouse Avenue Court has listed the case for hearing on July 23. The court found that the summons could not be served due to the address being found wrong. However, Atishi appeared through video conferencing with her lawyer. A copy of the complaint has been given to her lawyer present in the court.

BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor’s lawyer Shoumendu Mukherjee said that the accused person (Atishi) appeared through VC with his advocates and claimed that the summons was not served. Which is a very absurd argument to me. Now he will have to seek bail on the next date and face the trial.
Let us tell you that Atishi is accused of making false allegations against BJP and tarnishing the image of the party. Praveen Shankar Kapoor had alleged in the petition that Atishi and CM Kejriwal had accused BJP of breaking the AAP MLAs by giving them money, which is absolutely wrong. This has tarnished the image of the party.
