Delhi IGI Airport Accident: The first monsoon rain in Delhi NCR has made life miserable for people. Due to torrential rains, a major accident has happened at Delhi airport. Six people have been badly injured due to the roof of Terminal-1 falling on vehicles. Due to the accident, the airport management has cancelled all flights from Terminal-1 and has also closed the check-in counters. In such a situation, passengers are now facing a lot of trouble.
Let us tell you that a passenger at Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport said that “I had an Indigo flight at 9 am. I came to know that some part of the roof has fallen here. Due to this some flights have been cancelled and some have been put on hold. At present the officials are not able to tell us anything clearly. They are saying that go to Terminal 2 there you will be adjusted in the next flight.”

All flights from Terminal-1 cancelled
In a statement issued by the airport management, it has been said that all necessary help and medical assistance is being provided to the people affected in the accident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. As a result of this incident, all departures from Terminal-1 have been temporarily suspended. Along with this, check-in counters have been closed as a security measure.
Fire brigade officials said that due to the collapse of the roof, the iron beam fell on the car, due to which people got trapped inside. DFS got information about this incident at around 5:30 in the morning. After this, three fire engines were sent to the airport. Officials say that apart from the roof sheet, the support beam also collapsed, causing damage to the cars parked in the pick-up and drop area of the terminal. The people injured in this accident have been admitted to the hospital.
