Yo!.. Hi all readers.. Raj Bhat is back with another article, as you have already read its about You, I mean all who are reading!.. šŸ™‚

Beware my future spouse, I would have already used SOCMINT techniques before accepting your proposal!.. LolšŸ˜‚

So, this article is to help people learn some basic to advanced searching techniques using online platform, in my field it is called as OSINT.

So First Things First:

You need one basic unique identifier to get a good match and have a simple flow plan to get to the roots…

Example Flow: User Name -> Google/Social Media -> Compromised Password -> SIM Location -> Company They Work -> LinkedIn -> GPS location and the list goes on based on requirement!

Don’t worry much about the flow, its just for your reference, just in case!

Try some of these below ones first and then you can reframe your flow idea

Finding a Username on Instagram –Ā site:instagram.com “your name”
This query will search for the exact phrase “your name” on Instagram. The quotation marks tell Google to match the words exactly, and the site operator tells Google to limit the search to a specific domain.

Finding Resumes with Specific Names – filetype:pdf “CV” OR “Curriculum Vitae” “your name”
This query will search for PDF files that contain the words ā€œCVā€ or ā€œCurriculum Vitaeā€ and the words ā€œyourā€ and ā€œnameā€. This can help us find the targetā€™s resumes, which may contain their real name, education, work experience, or other personal details.

Using Google Dorks on Other Search Engines
One more thing to note about Google Dorks is that they are not limited to Google. You can also use them on other search engines, such as Bing and DuckDuckGo. Its a bonus result, and sometimes can reveal more than google!

Now lets do some advanced things(like me šŸ˜‰ – for personal digital safety/ to search someone as well)

Here info like email addresses, passwords, personal details, and more can be searched/found in result!

dehashed.com is the website that show you the passwords or password hashes associated with your email address. This can help you find out if your password has been reused on other websites, which can increase the risk of your accounts being hacked.

Another clue that can help you find a person online is their phone number. You can use whocalledme.com. This website allows you to search for phone numbers from different countries and see if they have any comments or ratings from other users.

PhoneInfoga is one of the most advanced toolĀ for scanning phone numbers using only free resources. The goal is to first gather basic information such as country, area, carrier, and line type on any international phone number with high accuracy. Then, it tries to determine the VoIP provider or search for footprints on search engines to identify the owner.
