UP Bypolls 2024 Voting: In the by-elections held on Wednesday (20 November) on 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, 49.3 percent voting took place. During this period, information about ruckus and stone pelting has come to light at many places during voting. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav remained active on social media throughout the day and made serious allegations against the officials. Every post of Akhilesh Yadav was an attack on officials and questions on the role of the Election Commission.

Akhilesh Yadav also held a press conference in Lucknow amid voting for the UP by-elections. During this, Akhilesh said that BJP is trying to win this election not by vote but by mistake and out of fear of defeat, it is getting the election conducted by putting pressure on the officials. Apart from Akhilesh Yadav, the attitude of Ram Gopal Yadav was also seen to be harsh. SP leader Ram Gopal said that if we come to our senses then BJP will not be able to win in 70 percent of the places. In the afternoon, Akhilesh Yadav also spoke to the Chief Election Commissioner on phone and raised questions on the working style of the police.

The Election Commission also took action and suspended 7 policemen. While two sub-inspectors each were suspended in Muzaffargarh and Kanpur, action was taken against six policemen in Moradabad. During the by-elections on 9 seats of UP, there was chaos at the polling booths of many seats. Akhilesh Yadav shared the video of Meerapur, in this video an altercation was taking place between the police officer and the women. It is also visible in the video that the SHO has a pistol in his hand, Akhilesh Yadav has written that he is being stopped from voting by threatening him with a revolver.

There was uproar in Meerapur seat since morning, police and voters came face to face in Kakrauli. When the crowd started pelting stones, the police chased away the crowd. Meanwhile, a video of AIMIM candidate from Meerapur also came, who cried on the camera of ABP News while accusing the police of beating his son. There was a huge uproar in the Kundarki assembly seat of Moradabad, when the police put up barricades, the Samajwadi Party candidate created a ruckus. Apart from this, political uproar also took place in Sisamau of Kanpur, where BJP workers accused SP workers of stone pelting.
