Punjab latest news: A tragic accident took place in the courtyard of a house in Hiyatpur village of Ludhiana district of Punjab. In this accident, one and a half year old innocent girl Bani Kaur, who was playing in the courtyard, died. The innocent child died when an iron gate fell on him. This incident happened on Tuesday (19 November 2024).
Actually, Ludhiana police station in-charge Mukhi Pavitra Singh told that the girl’s father Darshan Singh was married about 3 years ago. Girl Bani Kaur was born in their house. Shortly after the birth of Bani Kaur, Darshan Singh divorced his wife.
After divorce, Bani started living with her grandmother. Darshan Singh himself went to America for employment. Whereas in Hiyatpur, Bani Kaur was being brought up by her grandmother Gurdev Kaur. Everything was going well. Bani was also enamored with Dari.
This is how the accident happened
Police chief Pavitra Singh told about this incident that Gurdev Kaur recorded her statement to the police that some construction work was going on in the house. The masons were installing tiles at the time of the incident. An iron gate was opened by masons and fixed on the wall. The iron gate was not yet firmly fixed.
Meanwhile, innocent Bani Kaur was playing in the courtyard of the house. Bani Kaur, a child playing in the house, tried to climb over that iron gate. Then the heavy iron gate fell on him. Grandmother and the laborers of the house took Bani Kaur out from under the iron gate and brought her to the hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
The police station chief said that the post-mortem of the girl Bani Kaur is being conducted. The entire incident of this accident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the house.
