GPS installed in vehicles
GPS has also been installed in 205 vehicles being used in the election process. So that the activities of the vehicles can be monitored. A control room has been set up in the Chief Election Office and District Election Office for monitoring webcasting and GPS. The concerned nodal officer will fully monitor this.

For the first time, the third eye will keep an eye on 130 booths.
A third eye will keep an eye on 130 booths in Kedarnath Vis by-election. For the first time, CCTVs have been installed to monitor 75 percent of the polling stations and webcasting is taking place. Till now, in the elections, CCTV cameras were installed only at 50 percent of the polling stations in the state, but this is the first time that CCTV cameras are being installed at 75 percent of the booths of an assembly. Till Tuesday evening, cross checks have also been done after the installation of CCTV in 130 centers out of 173.

Police and PRD personnel deployed at every nook and corner
More than 700 police, PRD and Home Guard personnel have been deployed to maintain peace during voting. Apart from this, four companies of PAC and paramilitary forces have been deployed. District Election Officer Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar said that out of 173 polling booths, arrangements for webcasting have been made at 130. The assembly constituency is divided into 2 zones and 27 sectors.

These candidates are in the fray
In the by-election, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Asha Nautiyal, Congress has fielded Manoj Rawat and Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has fielded Dr. Ashutosh Bhandari. Three other candidates RP Singh, Tribhuvan Singh Chauhan and Pradeep Roshan Rudia are contesting as independents.

Voting for Kedarnath Vis by-election will be held from 8 am to 6 pm today. 90875 voters will decide the political career of six candidates including BJP and Congress. In this, 44919 male and 45956 female voters will elect their MLA. 173 polling booths have been made for voting. All the polling parties have reached their destinations.
