Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been detained by the police in California. He is being interrogated. It is being claimed in media reports that Anmol was detained in California four-five days ago. Indian officials are gathering complete information about this. Recently, Mumbai Police had started the extradition process to bring back gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol from America. After receiving information that Anmol was in America, Mumbai Police had sent a proposal for the extradition of Anmol Bishnoi to the Union Home Ministry (MHA).

Wanted accused in firing case outside Salman Khan’s house

The police officer said that Mumbai Police had sent a proposal for Anmol’s extradition to the Home Ministry. From there it was sent to the Ministry of External Affairs. Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi have been named wanted accused in the firing incident that took place outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra area on April 14. Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal had carried out this firing.

Lookout circular was issued against Anmol

Earlier, ‘Lookout Circular’ was issued against Anmol Bishnoi in April. The NIA had filed an FIR in August 2022 against nine accused, including the Bishnoi brothers, charging them with ‘raising funds, recruiting youth to carry out terrorist acts in the Union Territory of Delhi and other parts of the country’ besides ‘ Alleged to be part of a conspiracy of ‘targeted killings of prominent persons’.

Who is Anmol Bishnoi?

Anmol Bishnoi alias Bhanu, resident of Fazilka, Punjab, is the brother of gangster Lawrence. Investigation revealed that he lives in Canada and visits America regularly. His name had come up in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. In 2023, the agency had filed a charge sheet against him stating that he had fled India on a fake passport. Last year he was seen in Kenya and this year in Canada. Anmol has 18 criminal cases registered against him and has been in Jodhpur jail. He was released on bail in October 2021.
