Farmers Protest: Farmers are once again preparing to march to Delhi. On December 6, farmers will march from Shambhu border to Delhi. Farmers have been protesting at the Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana as well as the Khanauri border since February 13, demanding legal guarantee for MSP and implementation of the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission. The farmers had marched to Delhi on February 13, but they were stopped from moving forward by Haryana Police and Central Armed Police Forces, after which they are staging a sit-in at Shambhu and Khanauri border.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that they have been sitting silent for nine months but they are being ignored by the then governments. Because of which he has been forced to take a decision. He said that during the Delhi march, they will move forward as a group and not in a tractor-trolley. He has demanded from the government to provide space for the demonstration.
