Guna News: The addiction of mobile phones and social media has started taking a heavy toll on today’s youth. This is obvious, but people do not seem ready to pay attention to it. People are ready to go to any extent to make a video and upload it on Instagram and get likes and comments on it. Someone comes in front of the train, while someone goes near the ditch and makes this ‘reel’. Many times such actions prove fatal. One such accident is coming to light from Guna in Madhya Pradesh.

According to news agency PTI, on Sunday (November 17), a 20-year-old boy jumped into the dam to make a social media video in Guna, but could not come back. Guna police said that he has gone missing. The incident took place around 5.00 pm on Sunday evening. A police officer has informed that this incident took place at Gopisagar Dam in Ruthiyai area, about 20 kilometers from the district headquarters.

Saw his friend drowning and asked for help
Prabhat Katare, in-charge of Dharnavada police station, said that while diving in the water near the gate of the dam, a young man named Deepesh Lodha gave his mobile phone to his friend Raj to make a reel. Deepesh had also told his friend that he knows how to swim. However, after jumping the young man started drowning. Seeing this the friend asked for help from the people nearby.

When this matter came to the notice of the police, the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDRF) was immediately informed and the search for Deepesh Lodha started. However, no trace of him has been found yet.

The car climbed onto the railway track to make a video.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first case when people have risked their lives while making a reel. A few days ago, to become famous on social media, he had driven his Thar car on the railway track. The matter is from Jaipur, Rajasthan. The young man was trying to jump his car from the railway track, but the Thar got stuck between the tracks. During this time, a train was also coming from behind, but fortunately a major accident was averted due to the wisdom of the loco pilot. The young man was taken into custody by the police.
