Arvind Kejriwal in Punjab: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday called on Punjab CM Bhagwant Maan Along with this, appointment letters were handed over to more than 1200 youth who joined Punjab Police Force at Tagore Theater in Chandigarh. During this, Arvind Kejriwal said that in the last two and a half years, the AAP government has given government jobs to more than 48 thousand youth of Punjab without any recommendation or bribe.

Punjab government has so far recruited more than 8 thousand soldiers in Punjab Police. Besides, ten thousand new posts are being created within the Punjab Police, so that the police can do its work with promptness. He said that after the formation of the AAP government, there has been rapid improvement in law and order in Punjab. Because of this, investment worth more than Rs 60 thousand crore has started in Punjab so far.

This will provide employment to lakhs of youth. Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that when we see happiness on the faces of the youth, we also feel happy from within. I have been told that at present appointment letters are being given to more than 1200 youth. In the two and a half years since our government was formed, 8705 people have been recruited in Punjab Police.

Kejriwal said that I am not saying this because we have a government in Punjab, but it is true that Punjab Police is the most disciplined, strict and prestigious police force in the country. He told the newly appointed youth in the police that you people should be happy and congratulate yourself that you are going to be a part of such a wonderful police force. In the coming times, you have to further enhance the status of Punjab Police and the respect that Punjab Police enjoys throughout the world and across the country through your actions, character, conduct and words.

Never do anything that may even slightly harm the reputation of the Punjab Police. You people have to work honestly so that the credibility of Punjab Police increases four times with your joining. Arvind Kejriwal said that I am very happy that in the two and a half years since the Aam Aadmi Party government has been formed, 48 thousand people have got jobs in different departments, but no one had to pay a bribe of even a single rupee. No one had to make a recommendation.

He said that I remember when we contested the elections in 2022, just before that there was a scam which was much discussed that the relatives of the minister got the job through the recommendation. In our entire two and a half years, no one can say that anyone got a job on the recommendation of any minister or officer. We are proud of the fact that no person has got a job through recommendation or bribe. We had come with this dream. Arvind Kejriwal said that before our arrival, before 2022, we used to hear that it is impossible to get a job without recommendation and bribe.

Kejriwal said that because of this, common boys and girls were left with no option. They had to sell their lands and leave the country. Now you do not need to leave the country because you are not getting opportunities. It is our responsibility. You have given us such a big mandate. They have made us win by giving us 92 seats out of 117, so I obviously believe that the expectations of the people of Punjab are also very high. We are trying our best. Our government is working 24 hours to fulfill those expectations. Slowly now change is also coming.

Arvind Kejriwal said that now jobs are being provided on the basis of merit in Punjab. If there is something good in the society then it should also be promoted. Arvind Kejriwal said that when we took over the government, the condition of law and order in Punjab was very bad. Gangsters were prevalent all around.

There was a very bad situation of law and order all around. In that situation, when we took charge of the new government, we faced a huge challenge. We accepted that challenge and we got help and support from three crore people of Punjab.
