Proposal to form three new municipal corporations in Himachal

The three new municipal corporations proposed to be formed by the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet include Una, Baddi and Hamirpur. Along with this, it was also decided to create six new Nagar Panchayats in the state. Apart from this, the Cabinet also approved the inclusion of additional areas in the jurisdiction of various urban local bodies.

Honorarium increased for multi-task workers

Along with this, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet approved increasing the honorarium of multi-task workers in the Public Works Department from Rs 4,500 to Rs 5,000. The Cabinet gave in-principle approval to bring all elderly people above 70 years of age under the ambit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. It was also decided to provide additional top-up cover of Rs 5 lakh every year to people above 70 years of age already registered under this scheme.

In this meeting, approval was given to provide financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh for construction of houses to widows, single destitute and disabled women with annual income less than Rs 2.50 lakh registered under Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Welfare Board.

30 posts of senior resident doctors will be filled in Hamirpur

The Sukhu Cabinet approved the implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start Up Scheme-2023, under which it has been decided to pay a minimum fare of Rs 50,000 to the owners of e-taxis associated with various government departments. In this meeting, it was also decided to create and fill 30 posts of senior resident doctors and 326 posts of supporting staff in Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur. The Cabinet approved opening of a new police post at Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur and creation and filling of seven posts of various categories.

25 posts will be filled in Excise Department

In the Cabinet meeting, approval has been given to fill 28 posts of various categories in the Fisheries Department. The Cabinet decided to fill 25 posts of Assistant State Tax and Excise Officers in the Excise and Taxation Department. In the meeting, it was decided to fill 10 posts of different categories in Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, Hamirpur to streamline the functioning of the Commission.

In the meeting, it was decided to create and fill four posts of different categories for the newly upgraded Community Health Centre, Gumma in Shimla district. The decision of NOC was taken to increase the seats of GNM course by 20 from 40 to 60 in Himcaps Nursing College, Badhera at Haroli in Una district.

Building and Other Construction Welfare Board Office Hamirpur Transfer

In this meeting, it was decided to create and fill three posts in the faculty along with starting M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Electric Vehicle Technology) in Government Hydro Engineering College, Bandla, District Bilaspur. The meeting also decided to start a new diploma course in Computer Engineering and Internet of Things at Government Polytechnic College, Hamirpur. In this meeting, approval was given to issue letter of intent to M/s Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation for setting up a winery at Parala in Shimla district.

Apart from giving remunerative prices to the apple growers of the area, this decision will be helpful in ensuring employment to the local people. In the meeting, to reduce the congestion in Shimla city, approval was also given to transfer the office of Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Welfare Board from Shimla to Hamirpur.
