You may be surprised to hear this, but it is true. Pradipbhai Parmar, the shepherd of Rabhada village, has started the business of animal husbandry, in which he gives his Nandis and cows on rent.

Pradeepbhai Parmar has studied till graduation and he is doing the work of animal husbandry hereditaryly. He has 35 cows of Gir breed and 2 Nandi. He not only rears cows but also trades cows and Nandis. His most special asset is a Nandi named “Kohinoor”, which he bought from a cattle farmer in Ranpur for Rs 4 lakh. Kohinoor has now been put on rent in a cow shed near Gandhinagar, and the rent for four months has been fixed at Rs 8.51 lakh.

Specialty of Kohinoor Nandi
The specialty of Kohinoor Nandi is that he is a descendant of the famous Nandi Gopal of Gir breed. Gopal Nandi is famous throughout the country and his black complexion is considered very attractive. The name Kohinoor is associated with this particular lineage, and its black color makes it even more special. Pradeepbhai takes special care in the care of Kohinoor. He is given 20 kg fodder daily, which includes 13 kg green fodder and 7 kg dry fodder. Apart from this, he is also given 6 to 7 kg of ghee and 1 liter of pure groundnut oil. Overall, Rs 2500 is being spent daily on Nandi’s care.

Pradeepbhai not only has cows, but his Nandi Kohinoor is now also helping in breeding cows. Because of Kohinoor Nandi, three cows have given birth to calves. This ficus has also become a special identity in the breeding field, because its black color is very attractive and it is making an important contribution in the cows of Gir breed. Pradeepbhai is earning lakhs of rupees by renting bulls, and this business is growing rapidly.
