Baghpat News: There have been incidents of assault on the daughter-in-law in the in-laws’ house due to non-fulfillment of dowry demand, but one such case has also come to light. Where the mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband installed a hidden camera in her bedroom to blackmail the daughter-in-law when her dowry demand was not met. When the daughter-in-law came to know that there was a camera installed in the bedroom, the matter reached the police station. After registering a case against three accused, the police has started investigation.
Actually the whole matter is of Rataul village of Khekra Kotwali area. Pushpa, who lives there, was married to Jitendra Kumar five years ago in Roshan Vihar of Dayalpur police station area of ​​Karawalnagar. In the marriage, the in-laws were given an Alto car, jewellery, goods worth about Rs 25 lakh and cash. Within a few months of marriage, husband Jitendra Kumar, father-in-law Sunderpal, mother-in-law Rajwati, sister-in-law Reena started demanding dowry from Pushpa. Money was demanded saying that Jitendra needed Rs 10 lakh to study Panchakarma medicine.
What did the victim Pushpa say?
The victim Pushpa gave a complaint to the police and said that when her dowry demand was not met, she started being harassed in her in-laws’ house. The accused also started beating him. His father-in-law started staring at him. Many times he brought one lakh rupees from his parents’ house, but the demands of the accused continued. To blackmail her, mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband installed a hidden camera in her bedroom, so that they could watch her unwanted videos and blackmail her to get money.
Case registered against all three accused
Pushpa told that on the evening of 19 September 2024, when she came to know about the hidden camera installed in the bedroom, her husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law beat her up. When her dowry demand was not met, her husband started having illicit relations with other girls. When she protested, the accused husband started beating her. ASP NP Singh said that based on Pushpa’s complaint, a case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been started. Whatever facts come to light during the investigation, action will be taken accordingly.
