Inauguration took place in March 2024
Vasudev Ghat was inaugurated in March 2024. According to the Lieutenant Governor, the purpose of this festival of lights is to bring the people of the city closer to the river and make them participants in cleaning the river. Delhi Deepotsav will showcase the confluence of spirituality and environmental sustainability. Vasudev Ghat is a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of India. Sculptures and artefacts brought from different states of the country are included here.
According to the Lieutenant Governor’s office, the grand Yamuna Aarti being organized at the ghat since the beginning of this year, which takes place twice every week, will now become even grander with an attractive drone show, which will add to the spiritual atmosphere. This amazing synergy of lights, sound and movement will make this event a memorable moment for all the visitors.
This is the specialty of Vasudev Ghat
Well-equipped gardens, unpaved walkways etc. have been developed in Vasudev Ghat, making it an ideal public green area. These ghats are being developed by DDA across Delhi. It has been designed like other open public spaces, which not only enhances the environmental beauty but also inspires people towards living a clean and healthy life.
