Devotees Offered Prayers To Rising Sun: On Friday (08 November), the last day of Chhath Puja in Patna, the capital of Bihar, devotees offered Arghya to the rising sun. Lakhs of people had reached Chhath Vrati, Digha Ghat, Ganga Ghat and Kangana Ghat and other ghats. Apart from Patna, thousands of devotees also visited rivers and ponds in Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Arrah, Bhagalpur, Buxar and worshiped the Sun. With this, the four-day great festival Chhath Puja ended.
On the fourth day of Chhath Puja, after offering Arghya to the rising sun, Chhath devotees concluded their 36-hour waterless fast. Thekua Prasad was distributed among everyone. It is believed that offering water to the rising sun brings health, good fortune and children. The four-day ritual of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith, started on Tuesday with Nahay-Khay.

On the first day, the devotees took bath in the Ganga and offered water to the Sun God. After this, Prasad was prepared by offering Arwa rice, gram dal and pumpkin vegetable. On the second day, Wednesday, the day of Lohanda Kharna, the devotees fasted the whole day and in the evening offered food to the Lord and took Prasad. After this, 36 hours of waterless fasting started. On Thursday 07 November, the devotees offered Arghya to the setting sun. After that, today on Friday, we went to the ghats built in rivers and ponds and offered Arghya to the rising sun.
