But on Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar sent an Indian delegation to Kabul to renew relations between the two countries. During this, issues related to Taliban and India were discussed. At the same time, during its visit to Kabul, the Indian delegation also met former Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

Why did JP Singh get the responsibility of representation?

JP Singh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs, has been given the special responsibility by the Ministry to deal with matters related to Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran. For this reason, Indian Foreign Minister S. went to Kabul to represent the delegation. Jaishankar had chosen JP Singh, one of the most capable officers in this matter. It is noteworthy that this is the second visit of the Indian delegation after the establishment of Taliban government in Afghanistan.

India has not yet recognized Taliban

The Taliban’s Defense Ministry said, “In this meeting, both sides emphasized their common desire to enhance bilateral relations. Whose focus was on humanitarian cooperation and other issues. “Both Afghanistan and India have shown their interest in strengthening further talks.” Let us tell you that India has not yet given its official recognition to the Taliban administration in power in Afghanistan. However, India has been considering Afghanistan as its important partner to strengthen its reach in Central Asia.

Talked about strong relations with India on Afghanistan

India has clearly stated many times that Afghanistan’s land should not be used in any way to spread terrorism in India. Taliban has assured India that it will not allow its land to be used against India. During this, Mohammad Yakub also mentioned the history of strong relations between India and Afghanistan. However, the Taliban is pressurizing India to allow the appointment of a diplomat from the Taliban Foreign Ministry in the Afghan Embassy in New Delhi.
