New Delhi. The Indian cricket team had to face defeat twice in one day. In the Hong Kong Sixes Tournament, on Saturday (2 November), Team India was defeated first by UAE and then by England. Former England all-rounder Ravi Bopara hit 6 consecutive sixes in one over of captain Robin Uthappa. Bopara scored 37 runs in one over of Uthappa. Bopara gave his team a resounding victory by hitting six consecutive sixes in Uthappa’s over in the fourth over. This is the third consecutive defeat of the Indian team in this tournament. The team is now out of the tournament.

Ravi Bopara hit 5 consecutive sixes in the over of Robin Uthappa. After this Uthappa bowled a wide ball. Then Bopara sent the last ball for a six and completed his six sixes in one over. Ravi Bopara is captaining England in this tournament. After hitting six sixes, Bopara then hit the seventh six on the first ball of Shahbaz Nadeem’s over. After this he completed his half century in 14 balls. Ravi Bopara retired after scoring 53 runs in 14 balls. He hit eight sixes in his innings.

Bharat Chipli was out after scoring 21 runs on 7 balls while Shrivatam Goswami contributed 27 runs on 10 balls. Uthappa became the golden duck. Ravi Bopra did not even allow him to open an account. Kedar Jadhav scored unbeaten 48 runs in 15 balls which included four fours and five sixes.

The Indian team lost this match by 15 runs. For England, Ravi Bopara took two wickets for 11 runs, while Jordan Thompson took one wicket for 32 runs. Bopara was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance. The Indian team is waiting for its first win in the tournament.
