Meanwhile, information has also come to light regarding the criminal records of the candidates of Congress and BJP contesting the elections. This has been revealed from the affidavit given during nomination. Let us tell you how many criminal cases are registered against the candidates of BJP and Congress in the by-elections being held in Budhni of Sehore district and Vijaypur of Sheopur district?

By-elections are going to be held on 2 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. There is said to be a tough fight between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress on both the assembly seats.

How many cases have been registered against the candidates contesting from Budhni?

BJP candidate Ramakant Bhargava, who is contesting the by-election from Budhni, according to the information given in his affidavit regarding criminal cases, there is not a single criminal case pending against him in the police station or court. There is not a single criminal case registered against Rajkumar Patel, who contested the elections on the Congress banner against Ramakant Bhargava, nor is it pending before the Honorable Court.

Condition of the candidates contesting from Vijaypur seat?

Ramniwas Rawat, who had been contesting the elections on behalf of Congress from Vijaypur seat, is trying his luck with BJP this time. The case against him is pending in the court. Information regarding this has been given by them. He told that a case was registered against him in Bahodapur police station of Gwalior in 2020 which is pending in Gwalior. Apart from this, there is no criminal case registered against him.

A case was registered for not following Covid guidelines during the Corona period. On the other hand, two cases were registered against Mukesh Malhotra, who is contesting from the same seat, in Karahal police station in the year 2022 and 2023, which are related to assault and are pending in Sheopur court.

When is the by-election on Budhni and Vijaypur seats?

By-elections are to be held on Budhni and Vijaypur seats in Madhya Pradesh. Voting for by-elections in both the assembly constituencies of the state will take place on November 13 while the counting of votes will take place on November 23.
