New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday (27 October) removed fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi from A category to B category in the Central Contract List for the 2024-25 season, while senior players Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed and Osama Mir were not given contracts.
Despite the recent 2-1 series win over England, Test captain Shan Masood remains in B grade. The board has given central contracts to a total of 25 players whereas last year 27 players were given contracts.
Like last year, PCB announced the contract after three months. PCB gave place to five players Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Irfan Khan and Usman Khan in the central contract for the first time. He has been kept in D grade. The board has given A grade contracts to only two players, former captain Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan.

D Category: Aamir Jamal, Hasibullah, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Usman Khan
