Russia-Ukraine war: The Russian Defense Ministry said early on Sunday (October 27) that Russia’s air defense unit had destroyed 51 Ukrainian drones overnight. The Russian Defense Ministry said on the Telegram messaging app that 18 drones were intercepted in the Tambov region, about 450 kilometers southeast of Moscow. In addition, 16 positions in the Belgorod border area were destroyed in the Voronezh, Oryol and Kursk regions.

On the matter, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram, a woman was slightly injured in a drone attack on Belgorod. He told that some cars were also damaged. Tambov Governor Maxim Yegorov said a Ukrainian drone fell in the Michurinsky district, causing a brief fire, but causing no injuries or material damage.

No comment from Ukraine
According to Reuters report, the Russian Defense Ministry only gave information about how many drones its air defense unit destroyed. However, he did not tell how many drones Ukraine launched. Russian officials also rarely disclose the full scale of damage caused by attacks, especially when they involve military or energy infrastructure. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine on the incident.
