Bhopal: Son of former DGP of Chhattisgarh committed suicide, slit his throat after cutting a vein, this reason came to light

Madhya Pradesh News: The son of retired Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh, Mohan Shukla, committed suicide in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. At his Kamla Nagar residence in Bhopal, the DGP’s son first cut the vein of his wrist and then ended his life by cutting the vein of his neck. The family took him to Hajela Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead. 

According to the police, the retired DGP lived with his family in Vaishali, Kamlanagar. Deceased Tushar is married and also has a son. It is being told that Tushar was suffering from depression and was undergoing treatment for the last two years. At 5.30 pm on Saturday evening, he cut the vein of his hand with a blade in his room. When he felt that cutting the vein of his hand would not kill him, he cut the vein of his neck with a blade. 

Wife made noise
Bleeding started flowing due to cutting of jugular vein, when wife Soumya Shukla saw it, she made noise. Wife and son took Tushar Shukla to Hajela Hospital in a bloody condition, where doctors declared him dead.

Had already tried
It is being told that Tushar was suffering from depression for the last two years, for which he was also undergoing treatment. During these two years, Tushar had already attempted suicide twice by cutting the vein of his hand. Here the family members told the police that Tushar used to spend his time in reading books related to literature and spirituality.

Tushar’s father Mohan Shukla has been the DGP of Chhattisgarh. He was made DGP on 1 November 2000 and retired on 26 May 2001. After retirement, he started living with his family in Vaishali Nagar, Bhopal.
