Israel-Lebanon War: These days the Israeli army is selectively killing Hezbollah people. For this, along with air strikes, it is also carrying out ground attacks in Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has also attacked the bases of UN peacekeepers deployed in Lebanon. A few days ago they had blown up the main gate of the Shanti Sena. After this, tear gas shells were fired at their soldiers, in which many people were injured. However, now the Israeli army crossed the limits and targeted and demolished the watch tower of the peacekeepers.

The United Nations Interim Forces (UNIFIL) issued a statement on the matter saying that the Israeli army destroyed the watch towers of peacekeepers in southern Lebanon with the help of bulldozers. This is exactly like the CM of UP Yogi Adityanath To demolish the houses of the accused. On this, UNIFIL has issued a statement appealing to the Israeli Army to ensure the safety of its personnel and property and to follow international law.

Ongoing conflict between Israeli army and Hezbollah
The Israeli army has claimed that Hezbollah is carrying out attacks near UNIFIL bases located in southern Lebanon. However, Hezbollah has rejected these allegations. Apart from this, Israel has also alleged that the presence of UNIFIL is acting as security for Hezbollah, due to which its military operations are being affected.

Israel demands removal of peacekeeping force
Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has demanded from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to remove UNIFIL troops from southern Lebanon. They allege that because of the peacekeeping force, there is difficulty in killing Hezbollah people. However, the United Nations has made it clear that UNIFIL will remain in place and the mission will continue.

Number of Indian soldiers in UNIFIL
There are a total of 10 thousand soldiers in the peacekeeping force present on the border between Israel and Lebanon. It includes soldiers from 50 different countries of the world. The highest number of soldiers is from Indonesia, which is 1,231. After that, European country Italy has 1,068 soldiers and India has 903 soldiers. According to this, 30 percent of the total number including India, Indonesia and Italy alone is deployed on the Blue Line.
