Generally, Grape-1 is implemented when the AQI of the city crosses 200. After implementation of GRAP-1, there is a complete ban on the use of coal and wood in hotels and restaurants.

As air pollution increases in the capital, the first phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is being implemented. The first phase of restrictions will come into effect from 8 am on Tuesday. The decision was taken in view of the air quality forecast in the sub-committee meeting of the Central Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Monday. The CAQM has also called for the adoption of a Citizen’s Charter.
