Haryana Assembly Election 2024: On the last day of Haryana Assembly election campaign, BJP leader Ashok Tanwar suddenly joined Congress. Rahul Gandhi included him in the party during the Congress rally organized in Mahendragarh. Ashok Tanwar had left the Congress just before the 2019 assembly elections, but this time not only the Congress but also the BJP leaders are surprised by Tanwar’s sudden change of party. Because perhaps no one expected that he would change sides again. Now the question arises, who will benefit and who will be harmed by the return of Ashok Tanwar?

Who will suffer from Ashok Tanwar’s return?
Ashok Tanwar has returned to Congress after five years. After this, questions are being raised that who will benefit from his return and who will suffer loss? At present, Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja-Randeep Surjewala faction is the strongest in Haryana. Hooda is not likely to suffer any loss politically due to Tanwar’s arrival, but his power will definitely be balanced within the party.

With the arrival of Tanwar, Hooda will get a big benefit that Selja will no longer be able to put much political pressure on his group. If Hooda takes Tanwar with him, it will not be easy to break this Jat and Dalit equation.

On the other hand, Kumari Selja and Ashok Tanwar have been contesting elections from Sirsa seat. In such a situation, with Tanwar’s entry, Selja will no longer be able to bargain much regarding numbers. However, Selja is unhappy with fewer of her supporters getting tickets. After Tanwar’s arrival, the question will also arise as to who will handle the politics of Sirsa. At the same time, Selja will benefit from the fact that Tanwar’s return will increase the share of Dalits in Congress.

At the same time, BJP had cornered Congress on the issue of alleged insult to Kumari Selja. He had hoped that by doing this he would definitely get success in getting the votes of the Dalits of Haryana, but now with Ashok Tanwar leaving the party, BJP has definitely been embarrassed. BJP no longer has any big Dalit face in Haryana.

At the same time, it would not be appropriate to say that those Dalit voters will now come in favor of Congress. Because due to continuous change of parties, Ashok Tanwar’s political stature is not the same as it used to be when he was in Congress.
