Hamirpur News: In Bharua Sumerpur town, MEMU train was saved from derailment due to the intelligence of the loco pilot. Railway official said that there has been great negligence on the part of the employees of the executing agency. A case of negligence is being filed against KPTL company.

Due to the negligence of KPTL, the executing agency of doubling of Bharua Sumerpur Railway in Hamirpur district, MEMU train was saved from overturning. Seeing the piece of wood placed on the railway platform, the loco pilot stopped the train in advance by applying emergency brakes. Due to this a major accident was averted. The station manager informed this to higher officials including RPF.
Officials have reached the spot and started investigating the matter. At the same time, the Railway Engineer has said that an FIR will be lodged against the executing agency. MEMU train from Kanpur to Manikpur was scheduled to reach platform number three at the railway station of the town at around 8:30 in the morning. KPTL, the company doing the doubling work, had placed pieces of wood between the tracks and the platform wall for the work in this platform.
However, these were not removed after the work was done. At some places, negligence of the officers and employees working in the station is also visible and the MEMU train was taken on the track without looking at the platform. When the loco pilot saw the wooden blocks on the tracks, he was stunned and applied emergency brakes and stopped the train in front of the wooden blocks.
