After registering a case of molestation, a teacher, his wife and two children were shot dead in quick succession. This incident was carried out by breaking into a house in Shivratanganj police station area at around 7 pm on Thursday, after which a sensation spread there. Teacher Sunil Kumar (35) lived with his wife and two children in a rented house at the main intersection of Ahorva Bhavani town of Shivratanganj police station area. Sunil was an assistant teacher in PMshree School, Panhauna. On Thursday evening, some armed people reached his residence. The miscreants opened fire targeting Sunil Kumar. His wife and two children who came to his rescue also became victims of the bullet.

All four people were taken to CHC Singhpur where doctors declared all of them dead. On information, SP Anoop Kumar Singh reached the spot with heavy police force. ASP Harendra Pratap said that teacher Sunil Kumar, his wife Poonam Bharti (30) and daughters Drishti (6) and Lado (2) died in the firing. The teacher is originally a resident of Sudamapuri of Jagatpur police station area of ​​Rae Bareli. On August 18, teacher Sunil Kumar had filed a case of molestation under SCST against a youth named Chandan Verma in Rae Bareli itself. Police are investigating at this point.
