EOW has started investigation on the complaint of black marketing of tickets related to Coldplay concert. EOW has summoned Ashish Hemrajani, CEO of Big Tree Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the parent company of BookMyShow, and the technical head of the company. EOW has sent summons to both of them to appear before the investigating officer on Saturday and record their statements. Mumbai Police said that advocate Amit Vyas had complained to the EOW about alleged black marketing of Coldplay concert tickets.
In the complaint, Vyas has alleged that BookMyShow used unethical practices. Genuine fans were prevented from purchasing tickets during official sales that began on 22 September. In their complaint they also accused the platform of allegedly manipulating access by logging out legitimate users or blocking them completely.
