Property Attached In Muzaffarnagar: To maintain law and order in Uttar Pradesh, criminals are being taught a lesson. In this series, once again the baton of Muzaffarnagar police has come down on notorious criminal Sanjiv Maheshwari alias Jeeva. Kotwali police station Nagar police has attached the illegally acquired movable and immovable property of gangster Sanjeev Maheshwari alias Jeeva. A total of 25 cases are registered against Sanjeev Maheshwari under serious sections. The police confiscated illegally acquired property totaling Rs 10.20 crore.

Sanjeev Maheshwari’s property worth more than Rs 10 crore confiscated

Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Suman said that movable and immovable property worth a total of Rs 10 crore 20 lakh has been attached under the Gangster Act. Cases of murder, attempt to murder, fraud, assault, Arms Act and Gangster Act are registered against notorious mafia Sanjeev Jeeva from 1995 to 2023. Let us tell you that Sanjeev Jeeva used to work for gangster turned politician Mukhtar Ansari. Mukhtar Ansari’s associate Sanjeev Jeeva was shot dead in the court premises of Lucknow on June 7.

Ongoing action to break the back of criminals

Sanjeev Jeeva was a co-accused along with Mukhtar Ansari in the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai. Starting his career as a compounder, Sanjeev quickly became a member of the underworld. Munna Bajrangi was shot dead in Baghpat jail in 2018. Sanjeev Jeeva was a close associate of gangster Munna Bajrangi. Heavy police force remained present on the spot during the attachment operation. Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Suman said that forces from several police stations were deployed on the spot to implement the attachment action. Notorious criminal Sanjeev Maheshwari had become synonymous with terror in many states of the country including Western UP, Haryana, Delhi.
