Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Kolkata office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the investigation into the alleged Bengal School employment scam. Earlier, ED had summoned Abhishek Banerjee. He was called to appear before the ED today i.e. on 9th November.
After coming out of the ED office, Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee said that I have cooperated in the investigation of the alleged school employment scam. I have submitted a reply of six thousand pages to the ED. Abhishek said that I have nothing to hide. They can call me whenever they want. Everything is in front of the people that BJP is not able to fight us, hence they are using the investigating agencies. This is unfortunate. If you have any evidence against me then present it before the court.
Abhishek Banerjee also expressed his views in Mahua Moitra case. When he was asked about this outside the ED office, he said that I think Mahua Moitra is capable of fighting her own battle. Actually, Mahua has been accused of taking bribe in exchange for asking questions in Parliament. If sources are to be believed, his Lok Sabha membership may also be lost in this case.
