Wipro has asked its employees to work from office three days a week. The company sent an e-mail to convey this message to employees. Till now, after COVID-19, some companies were allowing employees to work from home, but now most of these companies have started making changes in their rules.

Reuters’s Report According to, on Tuesday, India’s fourth largest IT service provider company, Wipro told its employees through e-mail that they will now have to work from office three days a week. Many companies are changing their remote work policies, citing better communication and collaboration among employees as the reason. In simple language, the company believes that working from office leads to better communication among the employees and their mutual cooperation increases productivity.

Last week, Infosys, India’s second-largest software services exporter, ordered some employees to return to the office for ten days every month, while industry leader TCS announced plans to work from the office five days a week, the report said. Order was issued.

Wipro had already been encouraging employees to work from the office three times a week since May, with about 55% of the workforce currently following this order. As of September 30, Wipro employed 244,707 individuals. The company has officially set the date for the new order as November 15.

An email dated November 6 said that starting January 7 next year, repeat violators of this policy could face consequences, although the email did not provide specific details of these punitive actions.

“As a global organization, we will continue to adapt our approach in line with local laws and agreements,” the email said, according to the report (translated into Hindi).
