Rajasthan Elections 2023: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has today released the fourth list of its candidates for Rajasthan Assembly elections 2023. BJP has canceled the ticket of royal family member Krishnendra Kaur Deepa, who was the MLA from Nadbai assembly seat of Bharatpur district for three consecutive terms and lost the 2018 assembly elections by about 4 thousand votes. In his place, the party has now fielded Jagat Singh, son of former foreign minister Kunwar Natwar Singh, from Nadbai assembly seat. Kunwar Jagat Singh is the district chief of Bharatpur from Bharatiya Janata Party. Jagat Singh was earlier in the Congress Party, but later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Actually, Jagat Singh had contested the 2013 assembly elections from Kaman assembly seat of Bharatpur district on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket and defeated Zahida Khan. Jagat Singh left Bharatiya Janata Party and joined Bahujan Samaj Party in the year 2018. After this, Jagat Singh contested the elections on BSP ticket from Ramgarh assembly seat of Alwar district and stood third there. Jagat Singh left Bahujan Samaj Party and again joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 2020 and became the district chief of BJP in Bharatpur.

Will Krishnendra Kaur Deepa contest elections as an independent?

Meanwhile, Krishnendra Kaur Deepa had contested the 2003 assembly elections as an independent candidate from Nadbai assembly seat and reached the assembly after winning. After this, she was elected MLA twice on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket in 2008 and 2013, but in the 2018 elections, Krishnandra Kaur Deepa lost the election to Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Joginder Singh Awana by about 4 thousand votes. Former royal family member Krishnendra Kaur Deepa has been a minister in the BJP government. Now it is being speculated that Krishnendra Kaur will file her independent nomination on Saturday. If Krishnendra Kaur Deepa contests the elections as an independent, then the problems of both Congress and BJP may increase.
