Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second edition of the mega food event ‘World Food India 2023’ at Pragati Maidan today i.e. on Friday. The Prime Minister said, exports of processed foods have increased by 150 percent in the last nine years. Today our agricultural exports have reached 7th place globally. There is no area in the food sector in which India has not made progress. This growth may seem rapid, but it is the result of sustained and dedicated efforts. During the tenure of our government, India has implemented export policy in the agriculture sector for the first time. We have established a network of logistics and infrastructure across India.
The PM further said that this fusion of taste and technology will give rise to a new future, giving impetus to a new economy. In today’s changing world, food security is one of the major challenges of the 21st century. Therefore, this event of ‘World Food India’ has become even more important. Also said that processed food industry is seen as an emerging sector in India. The sector has attracted Rs 50,000 crore in FDI in the last nine years. This is the result of pro-industry and pro-farmer policies of the Government of India.

All this will be available in the festival
This time in the World Food Festival, AYUSH diet was seen to keep oneself away from both communicable and non-communicable diseases. In this, you will get to taste Panchmutti Dalia of Chennai, Raggi Laddus of Delhi made from Ragi and even Triphala Jam of Jaipur. On behalf of the Union Ministry of AYUSH, all the AYUSH research institutes and startups of the country are participating in it.
According to the information, the government is celebrating the World Food India Mahotsav for the second consecutive year at Pragati Maidan in Delhi between November 3 and 5. Through this global event, the government is bringing the traditional food of India to the world, which can be consumed to enjoy a healthy life.
Union Ministry of AYUSH says that to make this festival special, CCRS Chennai offered Panchmutti Dalia, Hibiscus Jam, Hibiscus Infusion Tea, White Jowar Balls, Oak Fern Tuber Soup, Finger Millet Balls, Haleem Nachos and Bhringraj Confectionery. Is. Apart from these, doctors at Delhi-based All India Institute of Ayurveda have recommended Raggi Laddu, Mudgayusha and Yavadi Rotika Premix, Raggi Cookies (enriched with Raggi millet flour), Energy Booster (with roasted barley), Triphala from National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. Jam is included.
Experts will give information about 36 types of diets
At the Mahotsav, experts from Pune-based NIN, CCRUM and CCRAS-CARI Bengaluru will provide information about a total of 36 types of diets. The Ministry says that AYUSH does not just mean home remedies but is related to disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and future quality life of the patient.
There will be QR code for each diet
According to the ministry, six counters will be set up for AYUSH diet. Each establishment will display five to six foods. There is also a QR code for each diet. At the same time, six stalls have been allotted for startups on which 18 startups will display AYUSH diet on different days.
