She had strengthened her belief by sitting on a penance about 4 years ago. The woman tried to convince Indradev by sitting on a penance 4 years ago. It rained in the village on the second day and then the woman decided to give up the penance.

Once again it is raining in the surrounding area, but due to lack of rain in the woman’s local village, the crops of the village are on the verge of getting destroyed. The nearby farmers sow many crops. Now, fearing that the crops will get destroyed due to lack of rain, the woman has decided to sit on a penance for the prosperity of the village. Until it rains in the village, the woman is trying to please Lord Indra by sitting on a penance.

Actually the whole matter is of village Hastpur of Tehsil Iglas of district Aligarh. Saroj Devi, who lives here, is 55 years old. Her husband Krishna Gopal Singh died in 2005 due to cancer. Saroj Devi has two sons. Both of them do hard labour and maintain their family. Saroj Devi was upset for many days. The reason was lack of rain in the village. There was discussion about lack of rain in the village every day, due to which Saroj Devi decided to sit on penance for the prosperity of the village.

Giving information, Saroj Devi’s son Gaurav said that his mother is sitting on penance for the happiness of the village. If it rains in the village in any way, then the crops of the village can be saved from getting destroyed. Gaurav says that until it rains, his mother will not leave the place of penance.
