There is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees of Lord Shiva arriving from all over the country for Shri Amarnath Yatra. Every day thousands of devotees are arriving for the darshan of Baba Barfani. On the third day 23437 devotees attended Baba’s court. Due to which the total number of pilgrims crossed 51,000 in just three days. The Yatra is continuing from the traditional Pahalgam and Baltal route. Meanwhile, a group of 6461 devotees left for Kashmir from the base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.

The group that went from Jammu to Baltal includes 1628 men, 525 women, 7 children, 145 sadhus and 16 sadhvis. Similarly, there are 3203 men, 698 women, 7 children, 187 sadhus and 45 sadhvis for Pahalgam. These pilgrims have gone with the group in 265 small and big vehicles. For the last three days, a group of more than 6 thousand pilgrims has been going continuously from the base camp Jammu.

The weather is also supporting the travellers. However, in Jammu, the weather has cleared up in the day after rain in the early morning for the last two days and the heat and humidity are troubling. But there is no decrease in the enthusiasm of the travellers. Devotees are reaching Saraswati Dham near the railway station since late night to get tokens for instant registration in Jammu.

The faith of the devotees can be gauged from the fact that even after standing in long queues, there is no sign of fatigue on the faces of the devotees. With the chants of Bam Bam Bhole and Jai Shiv Shankar, the entire atmosphere in the temple city of Jammu is filled with Shiva.
