3 foot asteroid burns up over Philippines says scientist

Asteroid: The asteroid continues to come closer to the Earth. Scientists and space agencies around the world keep an eye on them, yet a rocky disaster reached Earth on Wednesday. According to reports, a small asteroid collided with the Earth’s atmosphere, crashed and burnt up. However, there is no news of any loss due to that. Scientists came to know about the asteroid shortly before it reached Earth. It is a matter of relief that the size of the asteroid was small, otherwise it could have caused damage by falling in a populated area.

European Space Agency (ESA) Tell It is said that on Wednesday, September 4, a 3 feet or about 1 meter sized asteroid hit the atmosphere over the western Pacific Ocean near Luzon Island in the Philippines. As soon as the collision occurred, the asteroid caught fire and burnt up. Because of that there was no harm on earth.

The asteroid that will hit the Earth has been named ‘2024 RW1’. It was discovered by scientist Jacqueline Fazekas with the help of the Catalina Sky Survey. According to the report, this is the ninth asteroid so far, which was tracked just before hitting the Earth.

Nasa’s asteroid tracking website estimated that the ball of fire caused by the asteroid could be visible from the east coast of the Philippines. Many videos are being posted on social media, in which a ball of green fire is visible.

The total mass of all the asteroids discovered so far is less than that of the Earth’s Moon.
