Now two daughters of Saharanpur have been selected in the Ranji team. At the same time, a senior female player has been selected as a coach in Ranji.
Young players of Saharanpur brought glory to the district and region by winning medals in the Asian Games. Now two daughters from the district have been selected in the Uttar Pradesh Senior Women Ranji Cricket Team. A senior female player has been appointed as the coach of the Ranji team. SDCA Chairman Mohd. Akram told that Shashi Mathur of Nanauta, Saharanpur and Nishu Chaudhary, resident of village Jhabiran of Sarsawa area have been selected in the Uttar Pradesh Senior Women Ranji Team.
It was further told that Bhavna Tomar, a senior player from the district, has been appointed the coach of the Uttar Pradesh team after being selected by UPCA. The President of the Cricket Association expressed happiness over the selection of three daughters of the district at the state level.
Players will showcase 100 percent of their talent
The Chairman told that the first match of UP Senior Women’s Cricket Team will be played from October 19 to October 30. Apart from this, the first match under the T-20 match league to be played in Vadodara will be with Saurashtra. Told that after the league matches, the knockout round matches will be played in Baroda. Expressed hope that the daughters of the district selected in the Ranji team will display 100 percent of their talent during the game.
Women’s cricket will get a boost
The chairman of the association said that women’s cricket is being continuously encouraged in Saharanpur. Every possible effort will be made to promote women’s cricket. He congratulated the district’s former Ranji player and coach Bhavana Tomar on being appointed as the coach of the Ranji team by UPCA.
