Narayanpur News: On April 30, 10 hardcore Maoists were killed in an encounter in Abujhmad area of Narayanpur. The relatives of the killed Naxalites have started arriving to collect the dead bodies. The family members of Naxalite commander Vinay alias Ravi also arrived to collect the dead body. A reward of Rs 8 lakh was announced on Vinay alias Ravi. Most of the killed Naxalites were residents of Telangana. Vinay alias Ravi, a resident of Adilabad district of Telangana, had joined the Naxalite organization after failing in 10th. The elder brother of Naxalite commander Vinay alias Ravi, who came to collect the dead body, had an exclusive conversation with ABP Live. He told how Vinay alias Ravi became a Naxalite.
Raja told that 40 years ago Ravi had failed in class ten. I was always scolded for not being interested in studies. After the results came, it came to light that Ravi had failed. In anger he slapped Ravi. Hurt by the slap, Ravi left the house. The family members traced Ravi the next day and also filed a report. But he could not be traced. After a few years, news was received that he had joined the Maoist organization.
10 Naxalites were killed in Narayanpur encounter
Brother told that Ravi had started working as Bal Sangham. After that Ravi never got in touch with his family. The only information received was that Ravi has now fully joined the Maoist organization. He has also left Telangana along with big Maoist leaders. After joining the Maoist organization, Ravi never returned home. Many times the news of getting rid of the resentment and returning home was also sent. An appeal was also made to Ravi to surrender before the police. But did not return.
A few years ago, information was received that Ravi had become active on the border of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Ravi’s name came up in many major Naxalite attacks in Maharashtra. After that, on May 01, information was received that Ravi had been killed in an encounter. Narayanpur Police had released Ravi’s photo. Ravi was identified from the photo. Ravi left home at the age of 15 and never returned. Now at the age of 55, the family saw Ravi’s dead body. Naxalite commander Ravi’s elder brother still regrets slapping him when he failed in 10th. He said that neither would I have raised my hand against him nor would I have to see my brother in this condition after 40 years.
There was a reward of Rs 8 lakh on Vinay alias Ravi
The police handed over Ravi’s body to the family members. The family members have cremated Ravi’s body in his home village. Narayanpur police officials say that Vinay alias Ravi has been active in the Maoist organization for many years. He also worked with many big Naxalite leaders in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Telangana. He has also been accused of being involved in many major Naxalite incidents in Maharashtra. More than 8 criminal cases are registered against Ravi in different police stations of Maharashtra. Chhattisgarh Police had declared a reward of Rs 8 lakh.
